More About Bill Stanford

Bill Stanford's education and career journey has constantly taken him to theatre and a variety of opportunities and experience in the field of work. He consistently carries an aspirational approach to working and an eagerness to learn. This makes him greatly capable to learn new skills and work at a professional standpoint. He is always dedicated to given tasks and takes and thrives on responsibility with respect.

Bill's career goal is to work backstage in theatre, and justifiably believes he can prove to be an asset given opportunity, in a variety of roles and tasks. He is always in an energetic and creative mindset, especially in team work incorporating situations. During his performing arts course, Bill went out of his way to volunteer on numerous productions, gaining further interest in the field of work during each show.  Through this time he learnt a number of key skills including using 'comms' headsets, operating a follow-spot fixture and how to 'pre-set' a performance, as well as developing people skills and all of which he can apply going forward.

His production based professional diploma course has also furthered his technical skills and knowledge for a backstage career, as he learnt about  sound and lighting. In the year he project managed an exhibition event, co-organised a talent showcase and stage managed a cabaret event at Tramshed Theatre, Woolwich.  His stage management experience at Tramshed Theatre, notably increased his confidence and credibility for the the role and through the opportunity, he made and constantly developed working relationships with acts and clients. As part of the role Bill also led an assistant stage manager in organising the goings on of the stage and props for the event. Additionally, on his course Bill carried out his influenfluential ABTT training, in which he learnt a variety of new skills and information, fundamental for the industry. These topics included flying, manual handling and safe use of temporary access equipment, as well as several others. Equipping him further, for a production related career, these experiences and skills as ever he is keen to consolidate and apply.
